Hey, y’all! This is going to be short and sweet. Today I want to share one of my favorite kitchen hacks–how to shred cooked chicken quickly. This method does use a stand mixer, but you could probably use a hand mixer. (If you try it with a hand mixer, let me know if it works in the comments!)

Step one: Cook your chicken. You can bake it, boil it, cook it in a slow cooker. etc. Method doesn’t matter!
Step two:Put the chicken in the mixing bowl of your stand mixer. Mine is a basic KitchenAid.
Step Three: Use the basic beater, and turn on the mixer to one of the low settings. You may need to try out a couple speeds to find what works the best.
Be careful not to over shred the chicken
That’s it! Your chicken is now shredded and perfect for whatever you’re making!. Keep in mind, the faster and longer you keep the mixer on, the more it will tear up the chicken. I notice that if I keep the mixer on too long, the chicken almost becomes a bit mushy. Definitely keep your eyes on it until it reaches the consistency you want. This took me 30 seconds tops.
